Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Associate to act as the point of contact for customers, assist in setting plan-o-grams, stock merchandise, and maintain store appearance. You will greet customers, operate the cash register, and help with merchandising and ordering as needed.

Qualifications

Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
Understanding of safety policies and practices.

Responsibilities

Unload trucks.
Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; stock merchandise in stock room or move to sales floor.
Build merchandise displays.
Stock merchandise; rotate and face merchandise on shelves.
Restock recovered merchandise.
Assist customers by locating merchandise.
Operate cash register and flatbed scanner to itemize and total purchases; bag merchandise.
Collect payment from customers and make change.
Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners, as needed.
Clean front end of store and help set up sidewalk displays when necessary.
