Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Retail Associate to act as the front-line contact with customers, stock shelves, and operate the register. You will follow plan-o-grams, assist with merchandise displays, and help maintain a clean, safe store environment.

Strong communication, basic math, and cash handling skills are important. Previous retail or cashier experience is a plus; high school diploma preferred. Relocation not offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; store merchandise in stock room or move to sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face merchandise on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Greet customers and operate cash register to total purchases and bag merchandise.
• Collect payment from customers and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners, as needed.
• Clean store front and assist with sidewalk displays.
