Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise in stock room or on sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays and rotate stock on shelves.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and operate cash register to total purchases.
• Bag merchandise, collect payments, and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners as needed.
• Keep store and stockroom clean and organized.
