Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Sales Associate to serve as the primary point of contact for customers, assisting with locating and purchasing merchandise, and operating the cash register.

The role includes stocking, cleaning, and maintaining shop floor displays while following plan-o-gram guidance to optimize sales and customer satisfaction. You’ll perform routine register duties and support store operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase, collect payment and make change.
• Follow company merchandise processes; unpack, stock, restock, and rotate merchandise on shelves and build merchandise displays.
• Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop store floors, clean restroom and receiving room, and help set up sidewalk displays.
