Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Sales Associate to serve as a friendly point of contact for customers. You will assist shoppers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operate the cash register, stock shelves, and maintain clean, organized store conditions.

You will follow company merchandising guidelines, handle transactions, and help protect company assets while contributing to store profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Requires effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment and make change.
• Unpack, stock, restock, and rotate merchandise on shelves; build displays.
• Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop floors, clean restrooms and receiving area.
