Job summary

Dollar General Corporation seeks a store associate to be the first point of contact for customers, help stock and merchandise, and keep the sales floor orderly. You will assist with unloading trucks, setting up displays, and ensuring shelves are neat and well stocked.

You will operate the cash register, handle transactions, assist customers in locating items, and follow store procedures to protect assets. This role requires reliability, basic math, and strong customer service in a fast-paced

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
Basic mathematical skills.
Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

Unload trucks and stock merchandise; receive, open, and unpack cartons and totes.
Store merchandise in stock room or move to sales floor; build displays.
Stock, rotate, and face merchandise on shelves; restock as needed.
Assist customers by locating merchandise and answering questions.
Operate cash register and scanner; total purchases, bag items, and collect payment.
Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners; maintain clean store front.
