Job summary

The Salvation Army store in Milledgeville, GA is seeking an attentive store associate to handle sales and donations. You will ring up purchases, manage cash, and ensure receipts are accurate while helping customers with questions and directing donations to the proper area.

Responsibilities include maintaining an orderly checkout, stocking supplies, and providing a friendly shopping experience. Prior retail or cash-handling experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required or equivalent experience.
• Experience in retail and handling cash preferred.
• Ability to operate a cash register and balance cash drawer.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with purchases, explain store policies and pricing.
• Ring up sales, collect money, count change, prepare receipts and balance cash drawer.
• Process donations, issue tax receipts, and direct loading/unloading areas as needed.
• Maintain neat, stocked and secure cash wrap area; respond to questions from customers.
