Responsibilities include handling returns, resolving complaints politely, assisting with stocking, and sweeping or mopping as needed. A positive attitude and attention to detail are essential for great first impressions.

Responsibilities

• Scan items at checkout using barcode scanner or manual entry
• Process payments (cash, credit/debit, checks) and provide receipts
• Handle returns and exchanges per store policy with supervisor approval
• Keep the register area clean and organized (register, scanner, bags)
• Resolve customer complaints quickly and courteously or refer to a supervisor
• Assist with stocking when needed
• Sweep and mop as needed
