Job summary

GPM Investments, LLC seeks a friendly Cashier/Sales Associate to ring up purchases and support store operations in Abingdon, VA. You will greet customers, manage the register, and help keep the store clean and stocked.

Responsibilities include assisting with lottery, tobacco and alcohol sales per laws, upselling where appropriate, and maintaining safety and cleanliness. Weekend availability and reliability are valued in this fast-paced retail role.

Qualifications

• Age 21+ and able to work weekends/holidays.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Basic math skills for register operations.
• Willingness to work outdoors/indoors in all weather.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and operate the register with accuracy and speed.
• Assist in lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales following age verification rules.
• Upsell to increase sales while delivering friendly service.
• Maintain storefront cleanliness inside/outside, including restrooms and lot.
• Restock shelves and keep displays neat and inviting.
• Cross-train in other departments as needed and follow safety policies.
• Be a team player and help where needed to keep store running smoothly.
