Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to serve customers, stock shelves, and maintain plan-o-grams. You will assist shoppers, operate the cash register, bag purchases, and help unload trucks as needed.

You will follow store policies, ensure accurate pricing, support displays, and keep the sales floor clean and welcoming in a fast-paced environment. High school diploma preferred; prior retail experience helpful.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Basic cash handling knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise.
• Receive, open, and unpack cartons; store in stock room or move to sales floor.
• Build and stock displays; rotate merchandise on shelves.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register; bag purchases and collect payment.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
• Clean front end and assist with sidewalk displays when needed.
