Job summary

Dollar General in the United States is seeking a Sales Associate to greet customers, help locate and purchase merchandise, and operate the cash register. You will stock, display, and rotate merchandise, and maintain store cleanliness and safety protocols.

The role involves unloading trucks, bagging merchandise, and assisting the Store Manager with daily duties to maximize store profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment and bag merchandise.
• Follow merchandise processes; unpack, stock, restock, and rotate merchandise on shelves and build displays.
• Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop floors, clean restrooms and receiving area, and set up sidewalk displays.
