Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a team member to serve customers, stock and display merchandise, and maintain store presentation. The role includes checkout duties, assisting customers, and participating in stocking and curbside displays as needed.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; stock in backroom or on sales floor.
• Build and stock merchandise displays; rotate and face shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers in locating items and answer questions.
• Operate cash register and bag purchases; collect payment and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
