Job summary

The City of Kenai is seeking a part-time Recreation Center Attendant to help keep the Kenai Recreation Center clean, safe, and welcoming for patrons. You will assist with everyday operations, answer questions, collect entry fees, and ensure a positive experience for visitors.

Ideal candidates bring customer service experience, reliability, and the ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Minimum one (1) year of customer service experience.
• Must be available to work varying schedules including weekends and City holidays.
• Must pass a background investigation for working with vulnerable populations.
• Must possess or obtain a CPR/First Aid certificate within thirty (30) days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Follow daily routine and complete checklists for shift readiness.
• Assist with routine cleaning and address spills to maintain safety.
• Monitor sign-in and attendance; collect entry fees.
• Assist with check-in/check-out of equipment or property.
• Enforce facility rules in a courteous but firm manner.
• Maintain awareness of patrons within the facility.
• Report maintenance concerns to Supervisor promptly.
• Provide information to patrons about the Kenai area.
