Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• AML certification required.
• TABC/LACT/AATC certification required where applicable.
• HIPAA certification required.
• Typically involves on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Processes Western Union money orders, lottery tickets, coin redemptions, refunds, and equipment rental requests.
• Prepares cash/check deposits and maintains store financial records and bank deposit logs.
• Checks cash register drawers for overages/shortages and reports discrepancies to management.
• Assists with store office tasks such as ordering office supplies and answering calls.
• Remains current on tender policies and procedures for checks, credit, debit, coupons, EBT, WIC, AML, etc.
• Memorizes product codes and stays familiar with ads and special items.
• Maintains accurate money count, provides change, and balances drawer and safe funds.
• Adheres to laws regarding sales of tobacco, alcohol, cannabis-based and pharmaceutical products.
• Provides friendly customer service, greets customers, answers questions, and handles complaints.
• Maintains a safe, clean working/shopping environment per safety procedures.
