Job summary

Safeway in Oregon is hiring a Fuel Station Attendant to ensure smooth station operation and a positive customer experience. You will handle transactions, assist customers at the pump and store, and keep the station clean and stocked throughout shifts.

You’ll perform safety checks, restock supplies, and maintain both indoor and outdoor areas to support fast-paced service and a welcoming environment for guests.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Prior customer service or retail experience preferred.
• Ability to operate cash registers and payment systems.
• Basic math skills required for transactions and cash handling.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.).
• Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Compliance with company policies including safety, sanitation, and dress standards.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with fueling and purchases while maintaining a friendly, efficient experience.
• Process transactions accurately using cash registers and payment systems.
• Keep the station clean, stocked, and ready throughout the day.
• Complete safety checks and monitor equipment for proper operation.
• Restock supplies and maintain inside and outside areas, including restrooms and fueling spaces.
• Follow company policies, audits, and daily station procedures; adapt to varying customer flow.
