Job summary

Par Pacific is hiring a nomnom Food Service Associate in Spokane Valley, WA. The role includes cashier duties, food prep, and exceptional customer service at our nomnom convenience stores across the Pacific Northwest.

Earn hourly pay with a $3.00 shift differential. Must gain food and age-restricted certifications within 2 weeks. Part of a collaborative team focused on safe, friendly service and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Be at least 16 years of age and have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in retail sales, foodservice and handling cash preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English (orally and in writing), including proficient phone communication skills.
• Ability to work various shifts as scheduled, and arrive on time.

Responsibilities

• Cashier duties, including accurately ringing up customers and taking various forms of payment.
• Answering questions about the food items offered.
• Food preparation.
• Adhering to safe and sanitary food handling practices.
• Replenishing supplies and food.
• Cleaning surface areas, throwing away trash, etc.
• Receiving and unloading stock.
• General housekeeping duties.
• Resolving customer complaints and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Obtain and maintain all required food and age restricted product certifications within 2 weeks of employment.
