Job summary

Food Lion in Danville, VA is seeking a Store Associate to provide quality customer service in the Center Store department. You will help maintain standards, maximize sales through service, and minimize shrink following standard practices.

Responsibilities include stocking, shelf maintenance, following safety guidelines, and using tools like ACIS and CAO. You will wear the uniform, complete CBT courses, and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, and accurate service.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Clean shelves and shelf tag moldings as needed when stocking.
• Maintain shelf allocations by stocking from tag to tag.
• Place only saleable merchandise on the shelves.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying follow guidelines.
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Report all accidents per established procedures to the Manager on Duty.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform and name badge on duty.
