WinCo Foods in Tracy, CA is hiring a Self-Checkout Attendant to service customers at our 24/7 locations. You will operate check stands, assist customers, and maintain price accuracy while processing cash, credit or EBT transactions.

This role requires friendly, efficient service, ability to handle fast-paced transactions, and adherence to laws. Evening and weekend shifts are common, and the team emphasizes safety and customer care.

Qualifications

• Operates check stand equipment such as a cash register, scanner and scale to process customer orders.
• Maintains knowledge of current product location, monitors UPC codes and ensures proper pricing.
• May be assigned to a multi station self-checkout lane or customer service desk.
• Follows all state and federal laws concerning the sale of restricted or regulated items.
• Adheres to USDA Food Stamp or WIC voucher procedures.

Responsabilités

• Seeks opportunities to welcome, engage, serve and thank customers.
• Engages in suggestive selling and other sales techniques.
• Processes monetary transactions including cash, checks, gift certificates, travelers checks, food stamps, processing coupons, and refunds.
• Regularly moves within SCO area to expedite transactions and address errors.
• Maintains clean, neat check stand and ensures safe work area.
• Stocks, prices and rotates merchandise.
• May be assigned to SCO or customer service desk as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned or needed.
• Navigate high stress situations with large transaction volume.
