WinCo Foods in Lakewood, CA is hiring a Self-Checkout Attendant to provide friendly service at checkout and assist customers across 24/7 operations. You’ll operate cash registers, assist at self-checkout lanes, and ensure accurate transactions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to work varied shifts in a 24/7 operation including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Friendly, courteous relations with customers and co-workers.
• Communicate effectively (hearing and speech) to perform customer relation tasks.
• Complete written forms.
• Read information on merchandise and PLU codes.
• Lift and maneuver objects up to 20 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Operate check stand equipment (cash registers, scanners, scales).
• Stand or sit for long periods, walk rapidly, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Learn and memorize store procedures and policies.
• Maintain accuracy in scanning and monetary transactions.
• Follow safety and cleanliness standards.
• Learn to use self-checkout areas and assist customers.

Responsabilités

• Welcomes and serves customers with a friendly, cooperative approach.
• Operates check stand equipment to process customer orders and payments.
• Engages in suggestive selling and other sales techniques.
• Processes monetary transactions and adheres to cash handling policies.
• Maintains knowledge of product locations and accurate pricing.
• Keeps check stands clean, stocked, and safe for customers.
• Assists at multi station self-checkout lanes or customer service desk as needed.
• Performs other duties and complies with laws regarding sale of restricted items.
• Complies with all company policies and applicable laws.
