Job summary

Appone is seeking a courteous cashier to oversee daily register operations and ensure accurate transactions in a fast-paced store in Salisbury, MD. You will greet customers, process payments, verify age for restricted items, and maintain a clean, organized checkout area.

Responsibilities include stock replenishment, teamwork with colleagues, and following safety and loss prevention guidelines. Candidates should be reliable, customer-focused, and able to work flexible shifts, including weekends

Qualifications

• Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to explain how to dispense fuel into a vehicle and/or approved container.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Ability to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to add and subtract in order to make change, complete shift reports, and account for a variety of products during vendor check-in.
• Displays punctuality and a neat appearance.
• Must pass background check and drug-free workplace requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide every customer with a warm and friendly greeting, fast efficient service and a sincere THANK YOU.
• Promotes merchandise programs through suggestive selling techniques.
• Scans all merchandise presented by the guest using the cash register.
• Makes change, processes credit/debit cards and issues receipts to guests.
• Understands and follows all cash handling procedures.
• Follow the work schedule as posted, unless a change in schedule is arranged with the Store Manager.
• Work in a SAFE manner at all times and report all accidents immediately.
• All duties must be performed in a manner that is free from unlawful harassment.
