Job summary

GPM Investments in Jacksonville, NC, Handy Mart is hiring part-time Sales Associates to greet customers, operate the register accurately, and keep the store clean and safe for every guest.

You will handle restrooms, gas pump areas, and help maintain shelves while working in various weather and shifts; weekend and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Fluent in English and able to read/write/speak effectively.
• Reliable, punctual and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a smile and operate the register with accuracy and speed.
• Become proficient in lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales while ensuring age verification compliance.
• Offer friendly service and upsell to increase sales where appropriate.
• Keep store clean and safe inside and outside, including restrooms and parking areas.
• Stock shelves and displays; maintain order and presentation of merchandise.
• Willing to cross-train in other departments as needed and follow safety procedures.
