Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Cashier to provide efficient and friendly service in the checkout lane. You will complete transactions, handle money responsibly, and ensure accuracy to create positive customer experiences.

The role emphasizes strong communication, a helpful attitude, and the ability to build relationships to encourage repeat visits. Prior retail experience is a plus but not required; training is provided.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Strong listening and communications skills, face-to-face and virtually.
• Willingness to learn or existing familiarity with job-specific technology.
• Problem-solving competence and eagerness to troubleshoot when necessary.
• Desire to work with customers.
• Previous retail or customer experience preferred but not required.
• Good verbal communication skills.
