Job summary

Moraga Ace Hardware is seeking reliable, customer‑oriented individuals to join our team as Cashiers. As the first point of contact, you will greet customers, process transactions accurately, and maintain a clean checkout area.

Responsibilities include scanning merchandise, handling cash and card payments, assisting shoppers with questions, locating items, and supporting store operations with a positive, collaborative attitude. Flexible evenings and weekend availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Previous retail experience is helpful but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter the store and thank them for their business upon exit.
• Scan and ring up merchandise, ensuring accuracy in pricing and quantities.
• Process cash, credit card, and other forms of payment in compliance with company policies.
• Assist customers with product inquiries, locating items, and general store information.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area.
• Follow proper procedures for handling returns, exchanges, and refunds.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations.
