Job summary

Lowe’s Companies, Inc. is looking for a friendly cashier to ensure customers leave the store satisfied with a quick, accurate checkout and helpful service. You’ll assist with payments, exchanges, and keep the register area organized in a fast-paced environment.

Typical duties include helping in other departments when needed, stocking, and answering questions while maintaining a positive store experience for every customer.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Experience using a computer to input and retrieve information.
• Minimally lift 10 lbs; sometimes up to 15 lbs with/without help.
• Obtain sales-related licensure if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience.
• Proactively assist customers at the self-checkout area.
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges.
• Answer customer questions with clear, helpful responses.
• Maintain a clean, safe workstation.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
