Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a friendly cashier to provide a fast, accurate checkout experience and help customers get the best value for their money. You will assist at the register, handle payments and exchanges, and support customers with questions in a busy retail environment.

Most time is spent at the register, with opportunities to help other departments, stock shelves, and move carts. Benefits, education support, and growth opportunities are available for part-time teammates.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Minimally lift 10lbs unassisted or over 15lbs with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience
• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges
• Answer customer questions
• Help maintain a clean, safe workstation
• Complete other duties as assigned
