Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger at 1108 E 1st St Pratt, KS 67124. You will bag groceries at checkout, assist customers, and maintain a safe, clean environment to create an outstanding customer experience.

This role emphasizes friendly service, product knowledge, and teamwork. Retail experience is helpful but not required; training is provided. Benefits include health care, tuition reimbursement, employee discounts and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at check out for customers
• Strive for at least five items in the bag while ensuring contents are not damaged
• Follow best practices for bagging items in various bag types
• Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout
• Offer to help customers load bags into their car
• Perform basic shelf conditioning
• Inform customers of grocery specials
• Return merchandise to store shelves
• Gather bascarts and return them to designated areas
• Clean spills, collect and pick up trash inside store and parking lot
• Clean all areas inside and outside of store
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
• Understand store layout, locate products, conduct price checks for cashiers
• Reinforce safety programs by following procedures and reporting unsafe conditions
• Adhere to all food safety regulations
• Perform preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repairs
• Create welcoming environment and answer questions about products
• Follow laws and company guidelines
• Work cooperatively in high paced environments and handle conflicts calmly
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
• Must be able to perform essential functions with or without accommodation
