Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Sales Associate to be the first contact for customers, help them locate and purchase items, and maintain store presentation. You will operate the cash register, balance drawer, and assist with stocking and merchandising tasks.

The role supports store profitability and asset protection while delivering friendly, efficient service in a fast-paced retail environment. Previous retail experience is a plus, with a high school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Ability to read planograms and follow merchandising guides.
• Basic cash handling and mathematics skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment, and bag merchandise.
• Follow merchandising processes; unpack, stock, restock, and rotate products.
• Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop floors, and help with sidewalk displays.
