Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a store associate to act as the primary point of contact for customers and to assist with merchandising, stocking, and checkout operations. You will help maintain plan-o-grams, set up displays, stock shelves, and ensure friendly, efficient service at the register.

You will unload shipments, open cartons, rotate stock, clean the store, and follow company policies to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction. Previous retail experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise on shelves.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons; move stock to sales floor.
• Build and rotate merchandise displays; face shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise; assist customers on the floor.
• Greet customers and provide helpful assistance.
• Operate cash register; itemize and bag purchases; take payment.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
• Clean store areas; prepare sidewalk displays when needed.
