Job summary

Dollar General is hiring a Sales Associate to serve as a customer contact, assist shoppers, operate the register, stock shelves, and keep the store clean. This role contributes to store profitability and asset protection while delivering a positive shopping experience.

The position requires strong communication, safety awareness, and basic math and cash handling skills. High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand/walk frequently.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase, collect payment and make change, bag merchandise.
• Follow company merchandise processes; unpack, stock, restock, and rotate merchandise on shelves and build displays.
• Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop store floors, clean restroom and receiving room, and help set up sidewalk displays.
