Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a cashier to deliver a fast, friendly checkout experience and assist customers with payments and exchanges at our store. You will scan, bag, and manage registers while providing excellent service in a busy environment.

Part-time or full-time roles available with benefits and opportunities for growth. Training provided; must be able to stand for long periods and lift items as required by duties.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction).
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Minimally lift 10lbs unassisted or over 15lbs with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state.
• Retail and/or customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience
• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges
• Answer customer questions
• Help maintain a clean, safe workstation
