Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is hiring a front-end team member to deliver an engaging shopping experience. As a Cashier you’ll help customers, process transactions, and promote programs while upholding brand standards and store safety.

You’ll greet customers, handle returns, assist with loyalty enrollment, and contribute to a welcoming, inclusive store environment. This role requires physical stamina to stand and lift light loads and to work across the sales floor as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 35 lbs. items occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).
• Ability to work extended periods of time standing or walking.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Greet everyone and proactively approach customers to understand their needs and support their shopping experience.
• Process customer sales transactions and returns in accordance with established Front-End procedures.
• Promote company programs (customer loyalty, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment, etc.).
• Adhere to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures; keep information confidential.
• Create an inclusive store environment where teammates and customers feel welcome and respected.
• Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
