Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and receive, open, and unpack cartons and totes; stock merchandise in the stock room or on sales floor.
• Build and rotate merchandise displays; stock and face shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise and assist customers in locating items.
• Operate cash register and bag merchandise; collect payment and give change.
• Greet customers and provide friendly service.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners when needed.
• Keep the front of the store clean and help with sidewalk displays as required.
