Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Sales Associate in Danville, IL to provide outstanding customer service, assist shoppers, operate the cash register, stock merchandise, and maintain a clean, organized store environment.

You will greet customers, process transactions, handle merchandise displays, and help with store operations to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction. No prior experience required beyond high school, with on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase, collect payment and make change, bag merchandise.
• Follow company merchandise processes; unpack, stock, restock, and rotate merchandise on shelves and build displays.
• Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop store floors, clean restroom and receiving room, and help set up sidewalk displays.
