Job summary

ALDI USA in New Britain, CT is hiring a Store Associate to support merchandising, stocking, cashiering, and cleaning. You’ll help create a clean, well-stocked store and deliver friendly service to customers.

This full-time role averages 30+ hours per week with a starting wage of $20.00 per hour and scheduled increases over five years. Benefits include 401(k), medical insurance, paid holidays, and parental leave.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Ability to operate store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, and pallet jacks.
• Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and follow instructions.
• Ability to meet availability requirements and maintain reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Models and fulfills all customer service principles and escalates concerns to store management as necessary.
• Informs store management of loss due to outdated or damaged products.
• Properly utilizes the POS system to scan and process customer purchases and reports scanning issues.
• Adheres to cash policies and procedures.
• Follows the line policy and opens additional check lanes to ensure efficient checkout.
• Stocks shelves and displays neatly following merchandising planograms to maximize sales.
• Completes curbside pickup orders accurately and ensures timely delivery to customers’ vehicles.
