Job summary

Fred Meyer, Inc. is seeking a part-time Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to create a friendly shopping experience. You will bag groceries at checkout, assist customers with loading bags, and help keep the store clean and organized. This role emphasizes customer service, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

The position offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to grow within the Kroger family. Prior retail experience is helpful but not required as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers.
• Stack items carefully without damage.
• Bag items using reusable/plastic/paper bags.
• Assist in removing merchandise from bottom shelves for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves.
• Collect and return bascarts to designated areas.
• Clean spills and pick up trash inside store and parking lot.
• Clean all areas inside and outside of store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand store layout and locate products; perform price checks.
