Job summary

Buchheit Family of Companies in Greenville, IL is seeking a friendly cashier to support customers in our Retail Store. You will handle transactions, answer questions, and assist shoppers in person and by phone.

This part-time role requires good communication, basic computer skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. You will report to the Store Manager and help keep front lanes stocked and welcoming.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions using scanner and POS system
• Collect payment from customers and make change for cash transactions
• Give printed receipts and invoices to customer
• Refer customer complaints to management
• Safety awareness of anything in store that may be hazard to employees or customers
• Balance cash drawer
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Stock merchandise on shelves at the front lanes
• Bring in carts from outside
• Additional duties, as assigned
