Job summary

AC&T, a Halfway Travel Center in Hagerstown, MD, is seeking a part-time or full-time Cashier. You will serve customers promptly, handle cash transactions, maintain clean and well-merchandised floor space, and follow all laws regarding alcohol, tobacco, lottery, and food service. Weekend and extended hours may be required.

Requirements include 18+ years old, English literacy, ability to lift 50 pounds, and experience with POS systems. Benefits include 401(k) and insurance options.

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years of age or have a work permit.
• Be able to speak, read, understand and write the English language.
• Be able to perform mathematical calculations to make change and balance shift reports.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stock shelves.
• Be able to operate electronic cash registers and other equipment.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers promptly and courteously to enhance AC&T image.
• Handle cash, check accuracy of drawer, and maintain security of store funds.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organized merchandise.
• Follow all state/federal laws on alcohol, tobacco, lottery, and food service.
• Report emergencies or incidents to Store Manager as required.
