Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers in-store.
• Process customer transactions at the check lane quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Understand POS system and handle cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers and coupons per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss-prevention guidelines.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions including seasonal deals.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Support safety programs and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs as needed.
• Create a welcoming environment and answer product questions for customers.
• Follow all laws and company guidelines; work calmly in fast-paced environments.
• Manage conflicts professionally and with honesty and integrity.
• Follow directions and ask for help when needed to resolve issues.
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as required.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
