Job summary

Target Specialty Products in Baton Rouge, LA is hiring a Warehouse Clerk to join a busy team. This full-time role combines warehouse duties with customer-facing tasks, including assisting shoppers and ensuring accurate order fulfillment.

You will pick, pack, and ship orders, manage inventory with the warehouse system, handle receipts and stocking, and maintain a safe, clean workspace.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service mindset.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
• Basic computer skills for inventory management, order processing, and customer transactions.

Responsibilities

• Order Fulfillment: accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment or pickup.
• Customer Service: assist walk-in customers, provide product information, and help them place orders.
• Retail-Style Service: handle customer transactions and ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Inventory Management: maintain accurate counts and record stock levels in the WMS.
• Receiving and Stocking: verify quantities and stock shelves/areas efficiently.
• Product Knowledge: maintain understanding of products to aid customers and ensure order accuracy.
• Documentation: record orders, inventory, and customer interactions.
• Warehouse Maintenance: keep a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
• Safety Compliance: follow safety protocols and procedures.
• Cross-Departmental Support: assist other departments to meet branch goals.
