Job summary

Break Time convenience store positions in Missouri are seeking energeticSales Associates to assist customers, operate POS systems, and keep the store clean and well-stocked. The role includes food preparation duties and adherence to MFA Oil policies for safe and friendly service.

Ideal candidates are 18+, reliable, and flexible for weekends/holidays, with strong customer service focus and basic math skills for transactions. Training and benefits are provided by MFA Petroleum Company.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Friendly, customer service-oriented person who enjoys a fast-paced work environment.
• Flexible availability to work, including weekends and holidays.
• Reliable transportation to work.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations to make change, complete shift reports, and account for numbers of products during vendor check in.
• Ability to learn new concepts, use technical materials, and consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
• Ability and willingness to attend adequate food safety training and obtain a Food Handler’s Card or equivalent certifications.
• Physical ability to move and position products in the cooler with temperatures as low as 30 degrees for up to one hour, and to move and position products in the freezer with temperatures as low as 0 degrees.
• Physical ability to both move and position yourself to move and retrieve products and supplies from shelves, under counters, or stacks of inventory weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to remain in a standing position for up to nine hours per shift.
• Ability to visually observe and inspect items and work environment for regular job responsibilities and safety concerns.
• Ability and willingness to occasionally ascend and descend ladders to handle inventory or products.
• Ability to perform assigned tasks with accuracy and minimal supervision.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language to communicate accurately and effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Ability to meet Company requirements, including successful pre-employment background check and drug test.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, provide fast and friendly service, conduct accurate transactions, and address concerns promptly.
• Perform merchandising activities including pricing, promotions, and stocking merchandise.
• Maintain timely and professional communication with customers, vendors, employees, and management.
• Work as a team to serve customers while following regulations and store operations.
• Use POS systems and devices; perform math calculations and complete shift reports.
• Assist training of new employees and uphold loss control measures (cash handling, food waste, etc.).
• Follow food service guidelines and ensure proper time/temperature, cleanliness, and pricing; operate ovens, roller grill, fryer, etc.
• Keep the store clean and ensure proper product display and storage.
• Perform other duties as assigned by MFA Oil per policies and procedures.
