Job summary

LiveOak Fiber is seeking a Field Services Technician to install and maintain fiber internet for homes and businesses in Savannah, GA. You will be the face of LiveOak, train customers on equipment, and ensure compliance with FCC and NESC standards.

The role requires strong communication, reliable attendance, and flexibility for evenings/weekends. You’ll manage tools and vehicle, perform basic network tests, and contribute to a collaborative, growth-oriented team at LiveOak Fiber.

Qualifications

• Able to interact with customers and explain technical information to a non-technical audience.
• Strong knowledge of fiber-based field operations and site safety.
• Experience leading teams and coordinating cross-functional tasks.

Responsibilities

• Installs and repairs active and passive fiber networks per standards.
• Train customers on equipment and proper use.
• Maintain vehicle, tools, and inventory; ensure security and maintenance.
• Perform basic network tests (ping, trace routes, speed tests).
• Collaborate with teammates; assist in training others.
