Job summary

Synopsys, Inc. seeks a technically adept engineer to help customers solve electronics thermal, power and reliability challenges using Ansys tools (AEDT, Icepak, Fluent, Mechanical). You will troubleshoot, guide workflows, and drive real‑world design improvements.

You will become the go‑to resource for multiphysics simulations, electro‑thermal and thermo‑mechanical analyses, and you will support sales, demonstrations, and customer training. Travel up to 10% domestically is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with Ansys simulation tools (AEDT, Icepak, Fluent, Mechanical) or equivalent CAE tools.
  • Strong CFD/thermodynamics knowledge for electronics.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically.

Responsibilities

  • Use Ansys simulation tools (AEDT, Icepak, Fluent, Mechanical) to help customers solve electronics thermal, power, and reliability challenges in real-world designs.
  • Provide direct technical support, troubleshooting, and workflow recommendations to customers across the US and Canada, ensuring they get the most out of their simulation investments.
  • Build deep expertise in Ansys simulation products and their application to electronics design, becoming the go‑to resource for both customers and internal teams.
  • Guide customers in multiphysics simulation approaches, including electro‑thermal and thermo‑mechanical analysis, helping them choose the right methods for their problems.
  • Capture and report software bugs and feature gaps, contributing actionable feedback to product development and participating in field‑testing new releases.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to provide technical insights, support product demonstrations, and help shape messaging that resonates with engineering teams.
  • Deliver training sessions, webinars, and technical presentations to upskill customers and colleagues, making complex simulation topics accessible and actionable.
