Sift Stack, Inc. is seeking an Application Software Engineer to bridge our telemetry platform with customer teams across aerospace, autonomous systems, and energy applications. You’ll build custom solutions, integrate with Sift APIs, and translate customer needs into actionable product feedback.

This role is based in San Francisco with in-person collaboration four days a week and potential LAHQ visits. 2+ years in software or data engineering, Python, REST APIs, and strong communication are

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in software or data engineering.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with REST APIs.
• Basic understanding of data analysis and visualization techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, able to explain concepts clearly.
• Passion for aerospace, autonomous systems, or advanced engineering.
• Willingness to learn in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers to understand technical challenges and adapt the platform.
• Develop custom solutions and integrations using Sift APIs.
• Translate customer requirements into actionable feedback for product and engineering.
• Create and maintain integrations with common engineering tools.
• Prepare materials and assist in onboarding and training sessions.
• Build trust-based relationships as a technical partner and advocate.
