Job summary

Dollar Tree in Alexandria, VA is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a friendly shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the cash register, and keep the store stocked and clean.

You will lift 30–50 lbs and stand for long periods while providing safe, respectful service. Prior retail or similar customer service experience is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management, strong organizational and communication, and problem-solving skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks; stock replenishment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
