Job summary

Midland Plastics, Inc. is seeking a Customer Experience Representative in New Berlin, WI to serve as the primary contact for customers across service, inside sales, and order entry.

You will support distribution sales growth, manage quotes and product availability, and coordinate with production and shipping to ensure on-time delivery. You will engage in outbound outreach, nurture relationships, and identify cross-selling opportunities while maintaining accurate records and delivering

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in customer service, inside sales, or order processing.
  • Experience in manufacturing or distribution preferred.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with ERP/CRM systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Support growth of Midland Plastics’ distribution sales and development of new accounts.
  • Engage in outbound sales activities to generate new business.
  • Grow distribution and single-solution manufacturing through pipeline development.
  • Respond to quotes, pricing, and product availability.
  • Coordinate with sales and operations to meet delivery expectations.
  • Follow up on quotes and opportunities to increase revenue.
  • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities with current products.
  • Serve as primary contact for customers with timely, professional communication.
  • Enter and manage orders accurately in internal systems.
  • Coordinate with production, inventory, and shipping for on-time delivery.
  • Maintain documentation of customer transactions.
  • Support process improvements to enhance efficiency and satisfaction.

Job Purpose

The Customer Experience Representative is responsible for delivering exceptional experience to Midland Plastics’ valued customers by serving as a primary point of contact for customer service, inside sales, and order entry activities. This role plays a critical part in supporting sales growth within distribution plastic products and lower volume single solution manufacturing solutions while ensuring accuracy, responsiveness, and professionalism in all customer interactions. Operating within a manufacturing environment, this individual collaborates cross-functionally to meet customer expectations, streamline processes, and contribute to Midland Plastics’ continued growth and reputation for quality and service.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Inside Sales & Growth Support

Customer Experience & Service
  • Serve as a primary contact for customers, providing timely, accurate, and professional communication.
  • Build strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs and delivering consistent, high-quality service.
  • Urgently resolve customer inquiries, issues, and complaints efficiently while maintaining a positive experience.
  • Ensure all customer touchpoints reflect Midland Plastics’ commitment to excellence.
Order Entry & Processing
  • Accurately enter and manage customer orders in internal systems.
  • Monitor order status and coordinate with production, inventory, and shipping teams to ensure on‑time delivery.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of customer transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and quality standards in all order‑related activities.
Operational & Administrative Support
  • Assist in coordinating meetings related to engineered plastic component manufacturing, including scheduling, communication, and preparation when requested.
  • Partner with internal teams, including manufacturing, engineering, and logistics, to support customer requirements.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service, inside sales, or order processing. Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, especially in order entry.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
  • Problem‑solving mindset with a customer‑first approach.
  • Proficiency with ERP/CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
