Job summary

Dollar General in Pinckneyville, IL is seeking a Sales Associate to be the first point of contact for customers. You will assist shoppers in locating merchandise, operate the cash register, stock shelves, and keep the store clean and orderly.

You will greet customers, process transactions, follow merchandising guidelines, help set up displays, and safeguard company assets. High school diploma is preferred; expect frequent standing and light lifting up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase.
• Follow company merchandise processes; unpack, stock, restock, and rotate merchandise on shelves and build displays.
• Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop store floors, clean restroom and receiving room, and help set up sidewalk displays.
