The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking a customer-focused associate to deliver an outstanding shopping experience in our Kansas City area store. You will engage customers, maintain a clean environment, and support multiple store areas as needed to meet business needs.

Ideal candidates showcase strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy in transactions. Prior retail experience is preferred and a competitive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Possesses excellent customer service skills.
• Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Capable of multi-tasking.
• Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
• Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Retail customer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with all customers and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
• May be cross-trained to work in multiple areas of the store as needed to support the business.
• Role models established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Supports and embodies a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately rings customer purchases/returns and counts change back to customer according to procedures.
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintains and upholds merchandising procedures and prepares merchandise for the sales floor.
• Initiates and participates in store recovery and maintains overall store cleanliness.
