Responsibilities

  • Ensures all crew members deliver exceptional customer service through personal contact. Trains the crew on the B.E.S.T. customer service experience to ensure each guest has a fast, friendly checkout experience.
  • Leads their assigned store to achieve and maintain customer service score goals set by the District Manager.
  • Oversees front-end operations, ensuring merchandising (candy, soda, snacks) meets or exceeds brand standards. Ensures all front-end equipment is functional and associates are trained accordingly.
  • Handles opening and closing procedures, maintains store cleanliness, recovery, and readiness for customers.
  • Performs store manager duties in their absence.
  • Partners with the store manager to recruit, train, coach, develop, and supervise all crew members.
  • Reviews corporate communications and reacts accordingly.
  • Collaborates with the store leadership team on merchandising and store recovery procedures.
  • Performs store maintenance tasks such as cleaning, restocking, and general upkeep.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • College experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years management experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and think creatively.
  • Ability to remain composed under pressure.

Essential Job Functions

  • Operate cash register frequently.
  • Move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and reach heights of 5-10 feet.
  • Ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and store stock.
  • Position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop regularly.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, managers, and coworkers face-to-face and via phone.
  • Assist customers across the sales floor and in stock areas.
  • Work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and travel as needed.
  • Identify and interpret email and print instructions related to merchandise and schedules.
  • Remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
