RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Ensure all crew members deliver exceptional customer service through personal contact, training on the B.E.S.T. customer service experience, and ensuring a fast, friendly checkout experience.
  2. Lead the store in achieving and maintaining customer service score goals set by the District Manager.
  3. Oversee front-end operations, including merchandising (candy, soda, snacks), ensuring standards are met or exceeded, and that equipment is functional with staff trained accordingly.
  4. Manage opening and closing procedures, store cleanliness, recovery, and readiness for customers.
  5. Perform store manager duties in the absence of the Store Manager.
  6. Partner with the Store Manager to recruit, train, coach, develop, and supervise all crew members.
  7. Review corporate communications and respond appropriately.
  8. Collaborate with the store leadership team on merchandising and store recovery procedures.
  9. Perform store maintenance tasks such as cleaning, stock management, and general upkeep.

QUALIFICATIONS
  1. High School diploma or equivalent; college experience preferred.
  2. Minimum of 2 years management experience.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Ability to multitask and think creatively.
  5. Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  1. Operate cash register frequently.
  2. Move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and reach heights of 5-10 feet for stocking.
  3. Ascend and descend ladders for stock retrieval and placement.
  4. Position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop regularly.
  5. Communicate effectively with customers, managers, and coworkers face-to-face and via phone.
  6. Assist customers across the sales floor and stock room.
  7. Work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends, possibly overnight shifts, and travel as needed.
  8. Follow instructions via email and print regarding merchandise, schedules, and procedures.
  9. Remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
