Responsibilities
  • Ensure all crew members provide a WOW customer experience through personal contact. Train the crew on the B.E.S.T. customer service standards to ensure fast, friendly checkout experiences.
  • Lead the store to achieve and maintain customer service score goals set by the District Manager.
  • Oversee front-end operations, including merchandising of candy, soda, and snacks, ensuring standards are met or exceeded. Maintain front-end equipment and train associates in its use.
  • Manage opening and closing procedures, store cleanliness, recovery, and readiness for customers.
  • Perform store manager duties in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Partner with the Store Manager to recruit, train, coach, develop, and supervise all crew members.
  • Review corporate communications and respond appropriately.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team on merchandising and store recovery procedures.
  • Perform store maintenance tasks such as cleaning, stock management, and ensuring a safe environment.
Qualifications
  • High School Graduate or equivalent; college experience preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years management experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and think creatively.
  • Maintain composure under pressure.
Essential Job Functions
  • Operate cash register frequently.
  • Handle merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and reach heights of 5-10 feet.
  • Ascend/descend ladders for stock retrieval and placement.
  • Position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, managers, and coworkers face-to-face and via telephone.
  • Assist customers across the sales floor and in the stock room.
  • Work flexible schedules including days, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and travel as required.
  • Identify and interpret email and print instructions regarding merchandise, schedules, and procedures.
  • Remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
